Jeremie Frimpong has backed himself to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool.

The Premier League champions signed Frimpong from Leverkusen after triggering the 24-year-old’s release clause for €35m (£29.5m).

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has high opinions สมัคร ufabet กับเรา รับโบนัสทันที of the right-back, who can also play on the wing and could be a suitable replacement for Alexander-Arnold.

After helping the Reds win their second Premier League title, Alexander-Arnold moved to Real Madrid this summer.

Frimpong told Sky Sports he is delighted with the challenge of filling the void left by the England international.

He said: “They are big shoes to fill, but this is Liverpool. This is a big team that has won trophies for a reason. If you play for Liverpool, you have to fulfill what you are and do your best. I believe in myself. I am a winner. That’s what I will bring.”

“The Premier League is the best league in the world,” he added. “I grew up in Manchester so I always wanted to come back. That was always the plan.”

“I know what it’s like to be a champion at Leverkusen, so it’s a privilege to be in a champion team, especially at Liverpool. To go from watching them to playing for them is crazy. The manager told me how I could help the team and he liked me as a player. It gave me a boost of motivation and confidence.”
